Chargers News: Bolts Lose Important Staff Member With Jim Harbaugh's Arrival

The excitement around the Los Angeles Chargers is palpable right now, as the team landed the biggest head coach hire in Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh returns to the Bolts after playing quarterback for them in 1999.

Harbaugh is a proven winner and tough coach, and a person who can help the Chargers out of their rut. Granted, they did make the playoffs in the 2022 season but failed miserably this past year under Brandon Staley.

Despite Harbaugh's arrival being paired with great news like Jesse Minter from Michigan joining the staff as DC, the team lost an important member.

James Palmer reported that the Director of Sports Performance for the Chargers, Anthony Lomando, is parting ways with the team.

We are unsure if Lomando leaving the team has anything to do with the injury issues that the Chargers experienced this past season, but we would also not be surprised if that was the case.

Lomando may have turned things around for LA in the past two seasons, but losing many players this year might not have guaranteed his return.

It could also be that Harbaugh is being meticulous about his entire staff, and he wants to bring in another trainer for the team that he deems more inline with his culture and attitude.

Either way, the Chargers have lost an important member of their training staff.
