Chargers News: Latest Mock Draft Has Bolts Selecting Dynamic Offensive Weapon

In this story:
With the Los Angeles Chargers' season now over, it's time to look ahead to the upcoming NFL Draft. Los Angeles will be selecting fifth overall in the draft, giving them a prime opportunity to take an impact player.
They need help all across the board of the roster, with the defense possibly being a priority. However, being this high on the draft boards gives the team a chance to take a game-changer on offense as well.
In the latest NFL mock draft from Bleacher Report, they have the Bolts selecting a truly dynamic offensive player. They take tight end Brock Bowers from the University of Georgia.
5. Los Angeles Chargers: TE Brock Bowers, Georgia
"Georgia's Brock Bowers fits the bill as the B/R NFL Scouting Department's No. 2 overall prospect. He is, arguably, the greatest tight end prospect of all time."
Per Bleacher Report NFL Scouting Department
Bowers would be a home run pick for the Chargers. He was special with the Bulldogs and could help completely transform this Los Angeles offense.
He would give them a true electric player, who could play both tight end and wide receiver. Bowers is elusive in the open field, and would easily become a favorite of quarterback Justin Herbert.
The Chargers need to upgrade their offensive attack next season. Wide receiver Keenan Allen should still be around, but he can't do it alone.
Mike Williams will be coming off an ACL tear, so his status remains in question. Adding Bowers to the mix would give them some insurance while allowing them to take arguably the best overall talent in the draft.
The Bolts front office has their work cut out for them this offseason, and the high draft pick gives them some great options. They need to make sure to get the pick right, because then hopefully, they won't be drafting this high for a long time.
