The Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl LX champions, capping off a historic season that saw the team win a franchise-record 14 regular-season games on their way to the team's first title since 2014.

The Seahawks beat the New England Patriots 29-13 on Sunday, bringing another Lombardi Trophy back to Seattle.

It was a squad that was defined by unwavering, dominant defense. Regardless of the situation, they never flinched. But once the game was over, Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon was immediately ready to celebrate.

"I’m finna have a drink, or two ... or maybe three. Who knows?” Witherspoon said, shining his signature smile to the world on the NBC broadcast.

The Dark Side defense might not have the outspoken characters of the Legion of Boom defense that brought Seattle its first Super Bowl title, but Witherspoon is known to deliver entertainment. After winning a Lombardi Trophy in just his third season, he certainly did not disappoint.

Seattle's defense redeemed the crushing loss to the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX, and Witherspoon was a massive part of it.

He totaled four tackles, one sack, one pass deflection and three total quarterback hits. Witherspoon also helped spur Uchenna Nwosu's interception return for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

Overall, the Seahawks' defense held Patriots quarterback Drake Maye to just 27 of 43 passing for 295 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. They also forced another fumble on the young quarterback in a critical moment at the end of the third quarter.

Witherspoon was the Seahawks' top pick (No. 5 overall) in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft next to the team's other top pick, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who won the Offensive Player of the Year this season.

Those two formed a unique bond, with their sights set on winning a Super Bowl. It took them just three seasons to make that vision come true, and it was made possible by head coach Mike Macdonald's arrival in 2024.

Witherspoon is one of the hardest workers on the roster, helping build the culture of the defense, and he's earned his right to celebrate however he wants after the victory. He's well on his way to being one of the highest paid cornerbacks in the league.
