The Tennessee Titans pre-draft process is coming to a close with the actual NFL draft just a few weeks away. As they wrap up their evaluations they will continue to have visits with certain players. On the docket today for the Titans is Georgia Tech edge rusher Keion White.

White has been a steady riser during the draft process and is consider an option in the first two rounds of the draft. White is a physical specimen at 6'4" and 280 pounds. He has an elite combination of size, strength and athleticism. However, White does need some technique work and to hone his pass rushing toolbox.

For the time being, White will win with his athletic gift and his always-running motor. That propelled him to solid college production as White put up 7.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss in his final year in college. He can use what he has now to still be productive in a pass rush rotation at the next level while he develops the other finer aspects of his game.

From the Titans' perspective, edge rusher may not seem like the most pressing need, but this draft class in particular is good on the edge. Even if the need isn't alarming it would still make sense for the Titans to address the position. You can never have too much pass-rush depth.

Right now, the Titans have Harold Landry returning from injury, third-year rotation player Rashad Weaver and newly-signed free agent Arden Key at the spot. While some may considered that enough to not use one of the Titans' limited picks on the position, we don't know how Landry will be when he returns and Weaver is just a rotational guy at best.

If the Titans feel like they are finding a high-level edge rusher in White, it only makes sense to grab him in the second round if he is there. Some may see White as a first round pick, but with his need for development it would be quite the risk to take him in the first. The Titans are clearly interested, so White will be a name to watch come draft day.
