ESPN BET’s main welcome bonus is simple: bet $10, and get $100 in bonus bets . We view this offer as a great new-user promo for casual sports bettors due to its low barrier to entry and surplus value.

Bettors using ESPN BET should consider the following terms and conditions before getting started:

• You must deposit and wager at least $10 to be eligible for this promotion.
• Win or lose, you'll receive five bonus bets, each valued at $20.
• The bonus will be distributed within 72 hours and will expire seven days from issuance.
• The promotion ends on July 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET.

Profit boosts 

ESPN BET offers various odds and profit boosts across its range of sports and markets. From the Premier League to the NFL, NBA, and college markets, you'll be able to find standard boosts, as well as exclusive options inspired by their television personalities like 'First Take' and 'Get Up' boosts.

Bonus bets 

You can earn bonus bets by completing simple tasks, such as linking your ESPN and ESPN BET accounts. Additionally, you can unlock bonuses through various betting checkpoints. For example, players at ESPN BET who place four qualifying parlay bets within the eligible period will receive a $10 bonus bet to use on a parlay wager. 

Referral bonus 

You can earn sportsbook referral bonuses of $50 when you refer a friend via a unique referral link. The player being referred must sign up using the link, deposit $50, and place a single cash wager of $25. We’ve tried this a few times around the office and enjoyed the perk. You can refer up to 20 friends for a lifetime maximum of $1,000 in bonus bets. Once the initial cash wager of $25 or more settles, win or lose, you’ll receive your reward as the referee.

While it's one of the newer sports betting apps, our ESPN BET Sportsbook review left us with positive overall impressions. From the aesthetics of the app’s interface to its responsiveness, there’s a lot to like about how ESPN BET operates. 

🎨 App design 

ESPN BET delivers high marks in the looks department. Like many of the apps in the market, it utilizes a black background with accents of color, in this case, green and light blue. Team logos are small, so ESPN BET’s color palette dominates the interface to a larger degree than some other apps. The design is typical of other sportsbook apps, with all the major features easily identifiable.

We were happy with how easy it was to navigate from one section to the next on the ESPN BET app. From browsing sports and markets to adding wagers to bet slips and placing bets, there was no friction whatsoever. Pages loaded smoothly and without annoying glitches and crashes.

The only minor issue we’ve found with the ESPN BET app is that it does take some time for the sportsbook to load after you log in. Fortunately, this mild inconvenience takes little away from the overall in-app experience.

Great odds and sports coverage 

Positive user takeaways include remarks on the quality of ESPN BET's odds and its market coverage. Bettors feel that the sportsbook's odds compete with those of DraftKings and FanDuel and frequently offer the friendliest, most profitable prices. In addition, app users appreciate that the ESPN BET app offers a wide range of sports on which to wager.

More alternative lines and SGPs 

ESPN BET delivers strong marks across the board. While bettors feel ESPN BET can compete with top competitors like FanDuel and DraftKings in many categories, they also think there is room for improvement on things like alternative lines, particularly in the same-game parlay (SGP) department.

More prop markets needed

One common theme we encountered was users enjoying their initial experience at ESPN BET but coming away with various suggestions for improvements, such as deeper props markets. Multiple players commented on wanting to see a broader range of baseball props.

🛠 Improvements needed 

While we find the ESPN BET app to be a strong performer, we fully agree with App Store reviewers that the sportsbook should add more alternate betting lines. We'd also like to see the props markets expand, particularly with NFL and MLB.

ESPN BET deserves to be in your sportsbook app rotation for line shopping. The odds are highly competitive, and we have found that ESPN offers better prices than popular betting sites like Caesars Sportsbook and DraftKings.

For example, heading into a Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears Thursday Night Football matchup in 2024, the Seahawks were -4.5 favorites at most popular sportsbooks. However, you could find the Bears at +5 on ESPN BET. While the -4.5 line was preferable for Seattle bettors, those who were bullish on the Bears found more value by keeping ESPN BET in their rotation.

Here's another example where we found friendlier parlay odds for the 2025 March Madness Final Four.

ESPN BET’s sports coverage is up there with the best online sportsbooks in the industry. For most bettors, nothing else is needed. All the primary domestic sports leagues are covered, as are several European leagues and competitions. While the app does offer some niche options, you may need to look elsewhere if you have a penchant for betting on sports like surfing or other highly specialized markets.

💳 Payout speed 

ESPN BET typically pays out its bettors within 24 hours, which is in line with its top competitors. However, some withdrawals may take up to five days to process. We had no problem when cashing out with Venmo, receiving our funds in under 24 hours. 

✍️ Terms and conditions 

Something to keep in mind is that any Venmo and PayPal accounts used to deposit money must be in good standing. You can only link one of each to an ESPN BET account, and the account cannot be changed after a successful deposit. 

⚡ Live betting 

ESPN BET's 'Live' section allows you to wager on odds that fluctuate in real-time during a game. Additionally, ESPN BET offers wagers on what will happen next in a game. For example, during bowl season, bettors could bet on whether the next play would result in a first down or how the current drive would progress. There are many options available for bettors to add skin to the game before and throughout the action.

You have the option of building your own multi-leg same-game parlay tickets, or you can wager on pre-made same-game parlays put together by ESPN BET. ESPN leverages its in-house personalities here, giving the likes of Stephen A. Smith, Molly Qerim, and Chris Russo an opportunity to put their name and likeness behind their picks. 

💰 Early cash out 

At ESPN BET, you have the option of choosing to cash out a bet early to lock in winnings or limit losses. This feature is great for bettors who subscribe to the “you can’t go broke taking a profit” mantra.

It’s a wonderful feature, especially for parlays. Imagine a scenario where you build a three or four-leg parlay ticket that includes games across many time slots. If your first two or three legs hit, you can walk away with a profit. Without the early cash-out option, you run the risk of an entire parlay failing if only one leg loses.

Sports fans can access a wide range of live sports and original ESPN programming on the ESPN app with an ESPN+ subscription. Stream hundreds of live events across dozens of leagues, including the NFL, NBA, NHL, UFC, soccer, and, most recently, golf.

ESPN BET recently teamed up with the PGA to bring bettors six marquee events, including the WM Phoenix Open and The Players Championship. We loved our experience streaming the WM Open and think most golf bettors will, too. The host and analysts provided hole-by-hole coverage, focusing on live betting and tournament markets. There's also a two-hour betting-focused show leading up to each round.

You can access ESPN BET's casino, Hollywood Casino, through the sports betting app. Players in Pennsylvania and Michigan can also download PENN Play's standalone casino app (also Hollywood Casino). The casino offers over 700 games, including slots, table games, and live dealer options. Casino games are restricted to those in CT, MI, NJ, PA, and WV.

When you create a new ESPN BET account, you’re automatically enrolled in PENN Play, the platform’s loyalty program. You’ll earn Tier Credits and PENN Cash every time you make a wager.
