Dubois won their first fight by 11th-round stoppage in May despite being knocked down twice. Another title fight worth watching later Saturday is Sebastian Fundora's defense of the WBC junior middleweight belt against unbeaten mandatory challenger Ermal Hadribeaj in Las Vegas. Boxing offers more ways to bet than most people realize, once you get past the basic win/lose market. Here's a rundown of what you'll find at most boxing betting sites.

Moneyline

The simplest bet in boxing: pick who wins the fight. Odds reflect each fighter's perceived chances, so a heavy favorite pays out less than a live underdog.

Round betting

Instead of just picking the winner, you're betting on which round the fight ends, whether by knockout, TKO, stoppage, or disqualification. Sportsbooks list odds for every round, plus an option for the fight going the distance.

Method of victory

You're betting on how the fight ends: KO/TKO, decision, disqualification, or technical decision if it's stopped early due to an accidental foul. Some books break this down further by fighter, so you can bet on "Fighter A by decision" specifically.

Over/Under (total rounds)

The book sets a total number of rounds, and you bet whether the fight goes over or under that number. A common line for a 12-round title fight might be set around 9.5 or 10.5 rounds.

Round group betting

A middle ground between round betting and total rounds. Instead of picking one exact round, you bet on a range, say, rounds 1-3, 4-6, or 7-9, for the fight to end.

Go the distance/decision

A straightforward yes/no bet on whether the fight reaches the final bell and gets decided by the judges' scorecards, as opposed to ending early by stoppage.

Props

Prop bets cover just about anything that can happen in a fight: will there be a knockdown, will either fighter be deducted a point, will the fight go to a technical decision, or will a specific judge score the bout a particular way. Prop menus tend to expand significantly for marquee cards.

Parlays

Combine multiple bets, moneylines, method of victory, round props, across one or several fights on the same card into a single wager. Every leg has to hit for the parlay to pay out, but the combined odds can turn a modest stake into a much bigger payday.

Futures

Longer-term bets placed well ahead of an event, such as who wins a title before a matchup is even finalized, or which fighter emerges from a tournament bracket. Odds shift as news and injuries come in, so early futures bets can carry real value.

Live betting

Odds that update in real time as the fight unfolds, round by round. You can bet on the remainder of the fight, in-round outcomes, or adjust your position based on how a fighter is performing, all while the action is happening.

Betting on boxing rewards actually watching the sport, not just picking the bigger name. A few things worth checking before you lock in a wager:

Style matchups matter more than records

A boxer with sharp footwork and a jab-heavy style can give a brawler fits, while that same brawler might steamroll someone who likes to sit back and counter. Look at how each fighter's style lines up against the other, not just their win totals.

Stance can decide close fights

Orthodox versus southpaw matchups tend to be awkward for whoever hasn't faced that stance often. If a fighter has a thin record against southpaws, that's worth factoring in.

Weight-class moves are a red flag until proven otherwise

Fighters jumping up or down a division don't always carry their power or speed with them. Check how they looked in their new weight class before assuming their old form holds.

Recent form beats reputation

A fighter coasting on name value from three years ago isn't the same fighter tonight. Look at the last two or three fights, not the highlight reel from their prime.

Common opponents tell you something real

If both fighters have faced the same opponent, how they performed against that person is one of the more useful data points you'll find, more useful than trying to compare styles on paper.

None of this guarantees a winning bet. But it's the difference between betting on a name and betting on a fight.

The odds you're offered on a fight aren't fixed, they vary from book to book, sometimes by a meaningful margin. Getting the best number takes a little extra work, but it's worth it.

Line-shop before you bet

Sportsbooks don't price boxing the same way. One book might have the sharper number on the favorite, another might pay better on the underdog, and a third might have stronger round-group or method-of-victory pricing. Pulling up the same fight across two or three books before you commit is the single easiest way to add value to a bet.

Understand implied probability

Odds are really just a probability estimate dressed up in a price. Shorter odds mean the book thinks that outcome is more likely; longer odds mean less likely. The trick is comparing that implied probability to your own read on the fight. If you think a fighter's chances are better than what the odds suggest, that's where the value is.

Look past the marquee markets

The moneyline gets tightened up fast once public money comes in, especially on lopsided favorites. Round betting, method of victory, and round-group markets often carry looser pricing simply because fewer people are betting them closely, which can mean better value if you've done the homework.

Track how the line moves

Odds shift as fight week progresses, sometimes because of injury news or a change in training camp reports, sometimes just because of where the public money is landing. Checking a line a few days out and again closer to fight night can tell you whether you're getting in early on value or chasing a number that's already moved against you.

Check how a book treats the smaller stuff

Whether a knockout and TKO get grouped together, whether the draw is included in a three-way market, how a technical decision gets settled, these details affect the true odds even when the number on the screen looks similar across books.

A good price isn't the biggest number available. It's a number higher than what your own honest read on the fight says it should be. That's the whole game.
