Las Vegas Raiders Sign Special Teams Ace Tyreik McAllister

The Las Vegas Raiders signed Hamilton Tiger-Cats wide receiver and returner Tyreik McAllister to a free-agent contract.

After multiple workouts with NFL teams, Hamilton Tiger-Cats wide receiver and returner Tyreik McAllister finally lands on an NFL roster. The Las Vegas Raiders announced signing three players this week, including McAllister.

He worked out with the Raiders last month.

It was an impressive rookie season in the CFL for McAllister, as the speedster starred on offense and special teams. The 25-year-old dynamic threat ran the ball 13 times for 52 yards, and caught 27 passes for 364 yards and two touchdowns with Hamilton. On special teams, he took totaled 1,037 yards on 41 kickoff returns for an average of 25.3 yards.

He’s no stranger to the NFL despite being undrafted in 2022. The Denver Broncos signed him after the draft, and he spent part of the 2022 season on their practice squad.

McAllister played five seasons at the University of Charleston. He finished his career with 2,561 rushing yards and 26 scores, also adding 1,047 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 38 games.

It’s the second time this offseason the CFL has seen one of their players sign to the NFL after Austin Mack joined the Atlanta Falcons last week.

CFL players can sign with NFL teams until Feb. 13, when the CFL's free agency signing period begins.
