Miami Lands Blue-Chip Safety From Big 12 School

The Miami Hurricanes do it again as they land a former Big 12 commit and top-100 recruit in the 2026 class.
The Hurricanes have landed four-star safety JJ Dunnigan after he decommitted from Kansas. Now the Hurricanes have a top 10 class with likely more players coming with less than a month away from National Signing Day.

“Miami made me feel like a priority,” he told Rivals. “All the coaches showed love almost every single day. They are one of the best teams in college football and always produce great DBs. And I want to come in and make an impact.”
He is the No. 136 overall prospect in the 2026 class and also ranks as the nation’s No. 14 safety and the No. 2 recruit in the Sunflower State.
