SI All-American today unveiled its Preseason SI99 -- the 99 high school football seniors from across the nation that it ranks as the frontrunners for its coveted 2021 SI All-American first team.

It follows the staff projecting the top prospects by one of 13 positions ahead of the 2021 season -- quarterback, running back, wide receiver, slot receiver, tight end, offensive tackle, interior offensive line, interior defensive line, edge defender, off-ball linebacker, cornerback, nickel cornerback and safety

SI ranks Travis Hunter, a two-way star out of Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill High School, as the No. 1 wide receiver and player in the nation. Ranked second -- and No. 1 on defense -- is interior defensive lineman Walter Nolen of Powell (Tenn.) High School. Hunter is committed to Florida State and Nolen is still considering several programs, including Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M and Ohio State.

The states most represented in the SI99 are Florida and Texas with 15 each, followed by Georgia (13), California (7), Alabama (6), Louisiana (5), Tennessee, Missouri and South Carolina with four each, Ohio and Mississippi with three, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Michigan, Washington and Arizona with two along with one SI99 member from Pennsylvania, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Nevada, Nebraska, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia.

The college programs most represented by current verbal commitments include Clemson (8), Alabama (6), Notre Dame (6), Ohio State (5), Georgia, Penn State and Texas A&M (4), USC and LSU (3). Texas, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan and Oregon hold two each. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Kentucky, Auburn, Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia Tech each have one pledge on the list.

More than a third of the SI99 members (33) remain undecided as of the morning of August 22.
