The Los Angeles Angels beat the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-5, on Wednesday night after clawing back from a 5-2 deficit. The Halos improved to 59-62 on the year and have swept the Dodgers twice this season, making it seven wins in a row dating back to 2024.

In other news, a former Halos pitcher was designated for assignment by his new club. The right-hander ended his third tenure with an organization that was his third employer in 2025.

Finally, there are some key injury updates to the Angels' pitching staff in southpaw Tyler Anderson and relief pitcher Robert Stephenson. Anderson was scratched from his scheduled Tuesday start against the Dodgers, and Stephenson has thrown just 15 pitches this season after missing the entirety of 2024.
