The Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated in five games against the Minnesota Timberwolves in first round of the NBA Playoffs.
Lakers head coach JJ Redick stated in his exit press conference that the roster has a ways to go to be in championship shapes and that some individuals were in phenomenal shape, while "there's certainly other ones that could've been in better shape."
On ESPN's Get Up, former Chicago Bulls guard Jay Williams said about Luka Doncic, "He's only 26...he has the body of a 40-year-old. When you've been in the league and been a pro for 10-plus years, those are like dog years. We're not coming into this situation fresh."
Williams said it would be a big challenge for Luka to get into championship shape.
Co-host Alan Hahn said that someone needs to tell Luka to "grow up," and Williams believed that LeBron James needs to be that person for Luka.
Luka's conditioning has been a heavily discussed topic since he was traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers in February. After the trade, Tim McMahon of ESPN reported, “The Mavs had major concerns about moving forward with Luka Doncic due to his constant conditioning issues."

Doncic averaged 41 minutes per game during the five-game series against the Timberwolves. He averaged 30 points on 45% shooting from the field and 34% from three to go along with seven rebounds and five assists per game.
