The Los Angeles Lakers will begin contract extension talks with Luka Doncic this summer, with August being the team's first chance to lock down their superstar.

The deal is expected to get done, but the length and exact amount of the agreement need to be ironed out. It looks like Doncic wants a shorter deal so he can get bigger money in a few years.

Elsewhere, the Lakers are looking at an All-Star big man, namely Nikola Vucevic, but only under one specific condition.

Additionally, as the franchise continues to build around Doncic, a potential Austin Reaves trade could get the team additional depth for a playoff run.
