Ja’Marr Chase Weighs in on Joe Burrow’s Aggravated Calf Injury

CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase can say I told you so, but it wouldn't solve much now after he was adamant Joe Burrow should take it slow on his return from a strained calf.

Chase wanted Burrow to sit until Week 5, as told to NFL Network last month, but he's played in both Bengals losses and just aggravated the injury on Sunday.

"I wish we would've did that from jump. But live and learn," Chase said to reporters this week.

The Bengals' top playmaker has not gone over 40 receiving yards in any game this season. That happened just six times in his first two seasons. Cincinnati's offense is the least consistent in the league at creating first downs through two games and Burrow's health has been a big factor in that sputtering start.
