CINCINNATI — Get ready for a blast from the past when the Rulers of the Jungle pump up Paycor Stadium on Monday night.

Cincinnati announced the SWAT Team secondary from the 1988 season is donning the stage. Eric Thomas, Solomon Wilcots, and David Fulcher will all be ruling the jungle.

Those stars teamed up with the late Lewis Billups to help lead  a league-average defense to the 1989 Super Bowl, where they eventually fell 20-16 against San Francisco.

It's a good omen bringing those three to town with a top-five quarterback on the opposing sideline. They combined for 17 picks in the 1988 regular season.

Cincinnati and Buffalo meet on Monday Night Football at 8:15 p.m. ET. The game airs on ESPN and is available on fuboTV—start your free trial here.
