NFL Announces Ron Torbert As AFC Championship Game Referee

Torbert was the head man for last year's Super Bowl.

CINCINNATI — This weekend's AFC championship game has Ron Torbert as the head referee.

Fans will remember him from last year's Super Bowl loss that included the missed pass interference call on Tee Higgins, plus, the questionable one on Logan Wilson.

The Ram's record in Torbert games is 7-1 all-time. He is also a prolific under referee, leading more credence to a dropping total from the lookahead 50s last week to 46.5 on Monday.

Playoff unders are 6-2 in Torbert games, while favorites in those games are 7-1 straight up. In 2020-21, Tobert reffed games went under over 70% of the time.

The Bengals have become betting favorites over the Chiefs as of this writing.
