Trevor Siemian Excited to Support Joe Burrow: 'I Like Seeing Good Passers of The Football'

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Trevor Siemian is ready to be Joe Burrow's new backup quarterback after Brandon Allen held the role since Cincinnati drafted its franchise player.
The Bengals signed Siemian to a one-year deal last week. A new home that he thinks is a great fit, given his relationship with old Broncos staffer Brian Callahan.
"I just think I just wanted to find a good fit," Siemian told the media. "Somewhere I can come in and contribute. This checked all those boxes."
The 31-year-old started shortly for the Broncos in 2016-17, with six more starts in the past five seasons. He had one of his best career games against the Bengals in 2016. Siemian exploded for 312 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 29-17 Broncos win.
"Familiarity at this stage in my career is huge," Siemian said. "kind of knowing what they're trying to coach, get across, I think is pretty important, especially in the quarterback room."
Overall, he's completed 58.9% of his career passes for 7,027 yards and 42 touchdowns. The Northwestern product has tossed 28 interceptions, rounding out a 13-17 career record as a starter.
"I like watching him play," Siemian said about Burrow. "I like seeing good passers of the football. When you turn a game on, I think that's the difference maker."
