Browns Injury News to Start Training Camp
Football season is just about here and the Cleveland Browns began their 2023 training camp with a walkthrough on Saturday. A few players were sidelined at the Greenbrier in West Virginia as the Browns started their prep for the 2023 NFL season.
The following players were on the sideline to start things out:
- LB Anthony Walker Jr.
- LB Sione Takitaki
- WR Anthony Schwartz
- WR Michael Woods
- WR Marquise Goodwin
- WR Jakeem Grant Sr.
- G Colby Gossett
Additionally, linebacker Tony Fields II was not at practice as he is dealing with a personal matter. Fields is expected to be with the team later today. Goodwin remains out with a serious health issue but it was a good sign to see him with his teammates.
Both Woods and Gossett were placed on the non-football injury list yesterday. Woods will miss the season with an Achilles injury.
After suffering season-ending injuries last year, it is a positive that the linebackers Walker and Takitaki are not starting the season on the physically unable-to-perform list. Though neither participated today, they are expected to be out there with the team before long.
Cleveland will have a full practice tomorrow morning and things will be ramped up a little bit compared to the first walk-through today.
