Browns ST Coach Bubba Ventrone Excited to Work With Cade York

In this story:
Special teams coach Bubba Ventrone knows the talent that Cleveland Browns kicker Cade York possesses. It's the reason the Browns drafted him in the fourth round of the NFL Draft last year and still believe in him despite the ups and downs of his rookie year.
When speaking to the media on Thursday, Ventrone talked about York and showed some excitement to be coaching him.
"It's not too often that you get to coach a guy that you rank coming out of college at the highest at that position," Ventrone said.
So last year, grading all the kickers and punters, I had Cade at the highest. I'm fortunate to be able to coach him this year."
York started all 17 games as a rookie and was 24-of-32 on field goal attempts and 35-of-37 on extra points. He kicked a career-long field goal of 58 yards for the Browns to defeat Baker Mayfield and the Carolina Panthers in week 1.
York struggled from 30 to 39 yards the most, missing three of his kicks from those lengths all season. He made 4-of-7 from 50-plus yards.
"I think that he can obviously improve. We're going to just coach him up and we're going to be as good as we can in the kicking phase."
