Bubba Ventrone Coming to Cleveland has Everything to do With What Indianapolis Didn't do

In this story:
Bubba Ventrone coming to Cleveland to take over the special teams has everything to do with his new title and what it could mean for him. Ventrone is now the assistant head coach to Kevin Stefanski, so he will have a bigger responsibility. Ventrone undoubtedly took this job because he has a pathway to being a head coach somewhere.
According to a report, many in the Indianapolis Colts building including players believed that Ventrone should have been the interim coach. That he had earned it with his work there over the past few years. The belief is that Ventrone not being the interim coach, and it going to Jeff Saturday did not sit right with Ventrone.
Cleveland had to give Ventrone some sort of promotion to pry him away from Indianapolis and being the assistant head coach is what it took. It's a step in the right direction for the Browns who badly need to fix their special teams, because yes, it does equate to wins as well.
If Ventrone was given the interim job in Indianapolis he would have been given a chance to prove himself, perhaps enough to earn the permanent job there. In the meantime, Cleveland won't complain that the Colts let Ventrone getaway.
