Chargers put fear in AFC West with this latest mock draft

In this story:
With the NFL Combine over, teams will now pivot to free agency in less than one week. The Los Angeles Chargers will be on the lookout for more weapons this offseason, addressing the area likely both in free agency and the draft.
There's always fallers and risers after the Combine. One of the rising prospects is Texas wideout Matthew Golden, who ran a blazing 4.29 second 40-yard dash. Dane Brugler of the Athletic has the Chargers selecting Golden with the No.22 pick in his recent mock draft.
"The Chargers could go offensive line (Grey Zabel?), defensive line (Derrick Harmon?) or corner (Jahdae Barron?) here. But if I’m another AFC West team, the idea of this offense adding an exciting weapon such as Golden is what I wouldn’t want to see."

Golden had a breakout season in 2024 for the Longhorns, catching 58 passes for 987 yards and nine touchdowns. He spent the previous two years in Houston. Adding Golden to this Chargers offense would present a game-breaking weapon to pair with Ladd McConkey for years to come.
