5 Winners And 4 Losers from Day 10 of Eagles Training Camp: Jake Elliott Has Been Near Perfect

Who were the winners and losers from Day 10 of Eagles camp? There were plenty to evaluate.

Another day of Philadelphia Eagles training camp has passed. Another day some players shined and some disappointed.

There's starting to become a clearer picture of how this roster as shaped out, and who will be the players to watch this preseason. Tuesday's evaluations of practice and the overreactions said it all.

With the Eagles having a walkthrough on Wednesday, who are the winners and losers from Day 10 of practice. This is a good indicator how how things are going for some players this summer.

Winners

Elijah Moore: The wins keep coming for Moore, and the stacking up of good practices. Moore is starting to show his deep-ball ability, as he connected on a 47-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts that was arguably the play of the day in practice. Moore is making a push for a roster spot, and deserves the nod over Holywood Brown right now. Let's see how Moore plays this preseason, but there's a lot to like when it comes to his roster chances.

Jake Elliott: On a windy morning, Elliott shined when it was his turn to kick field goals. Elliott went 6-for-6 in practice, and improved to 25-of-26 this camp. That's why the Eagles didn't bring in competition for Elliott this summer, as they believed he would fix whatever physical and psychological issues he had. Elliott has been excellent kicking in the Jefferson Health Training Complex, and needs to transfer that to NFL stadiums -- including his own this fall.

Micah Morris: Getting back on the field has been a plus for Morris, as the sixth-round rookie is starting to show his physicality. Hurts when a player misses time, especially when that unavailability allowed Willie Lampkin to pass Morris on the depth chart. The Eagles have been working Morris at left and right guard, and he's played well at both spots. There may be a roster spot for Morris after all.

Tyler Steen: The breakout player this year may be Steen, who had a solid year at right guard last season considering Cam Jurgens and Lane Johnson were injured. Steen has been consistent in 1-on-1s and had a victory over Jalen Carter on Tuesday (which isn't easy to do). The Eagles will go as far as the offensive line can take them and if Steen continues to improve, they may be the best unit in the league again.

Byron Young: Another good practice for Young, as he beat Drew Kendall and sacked Andy Dalton when the second team offense was out there. Kendall has had a good camp (and a good day on Tuesday), so this was a massive win for Young. There's a case to be made Young deserves more snaps this year, and he's earning them -- even as the No. 4 defensive tackle in a loaded position.

Losers

Cameron Williams: There isn't much depth at tackle behind Fred Johnson, and Williams proved it on Tuesday. Tarron Jackson was signed two days ago and easily beat Williams in 1-on-1s for a sack. No matter how you slice it, not a good look. Is Williams even going to be on the 53-man roster? Someone may have to be that fifth tackle, but Williams has not helped his chances. This is why it's hard to envision Johnson getting cut.

Will Shipley: The hits keep coming for Shipley, who hasn't been good through 10 practices. Running backs were working on blitz pickup on Tuesday, and Shipley was struggling in that department. Whether Shipley earns the RB3 job or not is up in the air, but he has to show something this preseason to prove he's worth keeping around. Elijah Mitchell is out of the competition after he was waived with an injury settlement and Dameon Pierce has been solid -- if not spectacular -- in camp. The job is still Shipley's to lose.

Tariq Woolen: The best player in Eagles minicamp this spring has been okay this summer. Woolen hasn't been great, but also hasn't impressed. He gets beat on a lot of moves in 1-on-1s and hasn't flashed in coverage. Woolen is still a starter and his evaluation will come starting Week 1. He just hasn't been as dominant as he was in the spring. Woolen will need to work on defending out routes through the rest of camp.

Hollywood Brown: Feels like every day Brown shows up here. He had a drop in 1-on-1s on Tuesday and the bad practices are stacking up. Darius Cooper has been great and Elijah Moore has been racking up good practices, which puts Brown on the bubble for a roster spot. Again, how did we get to his point? Brown needs a sharp preseason -- probably more than any player on this roster.
