Ravens Radio Host Slams Patrick Queen For Steelers Comments

In this story:
Since leaving the Baltimore Ravens earlier this offseason, Patrick Queen has made himself no friends in Charm City.
Signing with the hated rival Pittsburgh Steelers is bad enough, but Queen has consistently trash talked his former team over the past few months. From saying he wants to "embrace the villain role" to stating that Pittsburgh is a "better atmosphere" for him than Baltimore, his comments have certainly gotten under the skin of many Ravens fans.
Included in that group is Jeremy Conn, host of "The Big Bad Morning Show" on 105.7 The Fan. During Tuesday's podcast, Conn slammed Queen for his apparent shots at the city of Baltimore and said fans won't give him a warm welcome back this season.
"Not good, not good at all," Conn said. "He's embraced Pittsburgh already. He's kind of turned into a villain already with some of his comments. ... I think he's got that chip on his shoulder. Part of coming to Pittsburgh is about showing the Ravens he should have been paid here."
Queen is a big loss for Baltimore's defense, as he had a career-high 133 tackles last season to earn a second-team All-Pro nod. However, Conn doesn't believe Queen is as good as many others do, and that the Ravens will be just fine without him.
"I think he's solid," Conn said. "I don't think he's spectacular. ... We all know where he struggled. We're going to see him without Roquan [Smith]."
A 2020 first-round pick out of LSU, Queen was a staple of the Ravens defense' as he started all 67 games for the team. He was a consistently solid linebacker, but took a significant step forward in 2023. As a result, the Steelers made him one of the highest-paid inside linebackers in the league this offseason.
With Queen gone, the Ravens will be counting on second-year linebacker Trenton Simpson to come in alongside Smith, a first-team All-Pro.
