Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are hoping their wild offseason pays off with a playoff appearance in 2025. Despite finishing with 10 wins last season, general manager John Schneider made sweeping changes on offense.

The team brought in quarterback Sam Darnold to replace Geno Smith and signed veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp to replace DK Metcalf. Both players have something to prove after the way last season ended.

Kupp, a Washington native, was released by the division-rival Rams after spending eight seasons in Los Angeles. The Seahawks needed a receiver and once Kupp became available, the deal made sense for both sides.

The former third-round pick was in town for Tuesday night's Seattle Kraken game and received a rousing ovation from the crowd (watch below).

While the Kraken suffered a 6-5 loss to the L.A. Kings, ending their 2025 season, Kupp gave fans something to cheer about in the week leading up to the 2025 NFL draft.

Over eight seasons in Los Angeles, Kupp recorded 634 catches for 7,776 receiving yards and 57 touchdowns. His best year came during the Rams' Super Bowl season in 2021, recording a career-high 145 catches for 1,947 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.

Kupp was awarded MVP of Super Bowl LVI after catching the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals. Injuries have slowed Kupp over the last few years, but when healthy, he's still one of the best route runners in the league.

The Seahawks are expecting big things from Kupp after signing him to a three-year, $45 million contract.
