Colorado High School Football Top 25 State Rankings (Oct. 29, 2026)

On the final regular-season week of Colorado high school football, one team will attempt to go wire-to-wire as the state’s top-ranked squad.
But at times, it hasn’t been easy for Cherry Creek, which has been No. 1 all season long in the High School On SI Colorado Top 25 rankings.
The Bruins had to rally in the second half in their season opener, a win at Chatfield. But as it turned out, it was all for naught as they later had to forfeit that win for using an ineligible player.
Then, Cherry Creek had to survive a couple of scares early in the season, needing overtime to beat Legend and then pulling off an epic fourth-quarter rally to down Valor Christian.
Plus, the Bruins have had to deal with the weight of being a defending state champion along with being arguably the gold-standard program in the state for years, having won six of the past seven Class 5A titles.
However, they’ve taken everyone’s best shot and except for the forfeited loss, the Bruins have passed each test. Now one final test remains before they enter postseason play, beating Grandview for the 5A Centennial League championship.
Not to mention keeping the No. 1 ranking going into the playoffs.
Here, now, are this week’s rankings, led of course by Cherry Creek:
