Caris LeVert Questionable Ahead Of Cavs' Matchup With Grizzlies

Cleveland hosts Memphis on Thursday night at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse

Cleveland Cavaliers swing man Caris LeVert is listed as questionable on the team's official injury report ahead of the Cavs Thursday night contest with the Memphis Grizzlies.

LeVert's status us up in the air as he deals with right hamstring soreness. Dylan Windler is also listed as OUT with a right ankle sprain and hasn't played in a game this season.

In his last ten games, LeVert has made five starts and averaged 12.7 points and four assists on 40% shooting while playing 29 minutes. He scored 14 points off the bench in the Cavs 100-97 loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.

He also produced an eye-popping block on the defensive end on Miami's Victor Oladipo, who looked like he had an easy fast-break basket.

LeVert has bounced between the starting lineup and coming off the bench this season while averaging just over 12 points per night. He's in the last year of a three-year contract that pays him $17.5 million annually.

The Cavaliers are coming off a disappointing 100-97 loss to the Miami Heat as they begin the month of February in the Eastern Conference’s 5th playoff spot. Cleveland has had a rocky start to the New Year and is just 8-8 since the calendar flipped to 2023.

Memphis was in the midst of a winning streak the last time the Cavs saw them, handing the Wine and Gold a 115-114 loss back on January 18th. That was the Grizzlies' 11th straight win.

Since then, they’ve hit a rough patch over the course of a West coast roadtrip that saw them go 0-5 on the trip. Memphis rebounded with a win over Indiana on Sunday night a, but comes into Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on the second-night of a back-to-back, losing to the Portland Trail Blazers 122-112 Wednesday night.
