Why The Wizards May Win Tonight Against Pacers

Tonight, the Washington Wizards will face off against the Pacers in Indiana. The Wizards find themselves on yet another ugly losing streak as it has now gotten to five. They are looking at this game the way they ought to look at every game, it is a must win. They are watching the circumstances of the Pacers as an opportunity for them as Tyrese Haliburton is out due to a hamstring injury. Can the Wizards prevail to victory tonight?

That remains to be seen. What is seen is the way that the Wizards have played despite their opponent not having a key starter out. The depleted Cleveland Cavaliers are in bad shape at the moment. They have been without not one but two starters these last couple of weeks. The Wizards had the opportunity to take advantage of that situation twice as they played them two times in three nights. The Wizards got blown out in both matchups.

Washington Wizards get Destroyed by the Cleveland Cavaliers Behind Three-Point Shooting Explosion

The main reason was defending the three point line. That has been something the Wizards struggled with last year which seems to have carried over to this year. Another reason the Wizards failed to capitalize on their opponents missing key players is their lack of rebounding.

The Wizards really need a tough guy on their team. Each team needs a guy like that. They all need a guy who isn’t afraid to get a technical foul. Rather it’s going at the refs to let them know they missed a call or going at a player to let them know they can’t do what they want when they want, every team needs a guy like that. Often times, those tough players are exceptional at crashing the boards. The lack of size is a real issue that just isn’t discussed very often for the Wizards.

That is the key tonight for the Washington Wizards. They may very well come out with a win tonight in Indiana against the Pacers. Not having Tyrese Haliburton is huge as he does so much for this team. However, the Wizards must play big tonight on the boards and defend the three point line.
