Sources: Cincinnati Bengals Cornerbacks Coach Charles Burks to Return in 2025

CINCINNATI — Bengals cornerbacks coach Charles Burks will return in 2025 for his fourth season with the team, league sources tell BengalsTalk.com.
Burks met with new defensive coordinator Al Golden this week. The Bengals were hoping to retain Burks throughout the process. They believe in his ability, despite their issues on defense last season.
Those struggles led to the the dismissal of multiple defensive coaches, including defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, defensive line coach Marion Hobby and linebackers coach James Bettcher.
Golden and the Bengals are clearly on the same page. Burks had offers from other teams, but chose to stay in Cincinnati.
The Bengals will lean on Burks to continue to develop a young cornerbacks room that includes Cam Taylor-Britt, Dax Hill, DJ Turner II, Josh Newton and DJ Ivey.
