Zac Taylor Discusses Joe Burrow's Missed OTA: 'Today's His Day Off'

CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow was not present for the open media workout the Bengals went through on Tuesday due to a routine rest day.

Burrow has suffered a bevy of injuries in his NFL career as Cincinnati tries to get ahead of any soft-tissue injuries as best they can.

"We've given Joe a day off every week," Taylor said. "I didn't time this up great. I kind of thought you guys were here yesterday, so he threw yesterday and today's his day off. Just trying to be preventative for me."

The franchise star continues to work back to full strength from his wrist surgery and there is no indication he won't be able to take on a full workload during Training Camp next month.

"If you ask him he's going to be out here every day and that's part of the problem," Taylor concluded. "Defending the player from himself."
