Browns Sign Three More Draft Picks, Nine Undrafted Free Agents

The Browns are continuing the process to get all of their rookies signed and ready to go for rookie minicamp, which begins today.

Cleveland Browns announced they have inked three more of their draft picks to their rookie contracts. DE Isaiah McGuire, C Luke Wypler, and CB Cameron Mitchell join DT Siaki Ika and QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson as players who have officially signed their rookie contracts with the Browns.

McGuire was the team’s fourth-round pick at No. 126 overall out of Missouri. McGuire is a high-motor player that will figure into the Browns’ defensive end rotation. A stout player in the run already, it’ll be interesting to watch his pass-rush ability develop.

Wypler is a player that is likely to sit for a year or two unless he’s forced into action due to injury. The team’s starting center for the foreseeable future is Ethan Pocic but Wypler has all of the tools to eventually take over. Cleveland selected Wypler at No. 156 overall in the sixth round after many thought he took a long fall.

The Browns grabbed the versatile Mitchell out of Northwestern with one of their fifth-round picks. Mitchell is friends with Greg Newsome II, a benefit he has to his side as he adjusts to the pro-life. Mitchell has experience moving all over the defensive backfield and could be a Swiss Army Knife for the Browns.

Additionally, the team signed the following undrafted free agents officially:

Caleb Biggers, CB Boise State

Mohamoud Diabete, LB Utah

Thomas Greany, TE Albany

Hassan Hall, RB Georgia Tech

Ronnie Hickman, S Ohio State

Jeremiah Martin, DE Washington

Tanner McAlister, S Ohio State

Lonnie Phelps, Edge Kansas

Charlie Thomas, LB Georgia Tech
