What the Texans did With Cleveland Browns 2023 First Round Pick
In this story:
When the Cleveland Browns traded for QB Deshaun Watson, they had to give up a boatload of draft capital. With the 2023 first round pick from Cleveland, the Houston Texans have packaged it in a trade for Will Anderson Jr at No. 3 overall.
Still in this draft, the Texans will have a third-round pick from Cleveland, too. Overall, Houston picked up a 2022 first and fourth round pick, and the same for 2024, to go along with the two picks this year. In total the Browns sent six picks for Watson and a sixth round pick in 2024.
With the 2022 first round pick, Houston traded it to the Philadelphia Eagles, whom selected DT Jordan Davis. With the No. 15 pick, the Texans drafted Texas A&M G Kenyon Green.
Cleveland will have their first pick in this draft at No. 74 in the third round tomorrow.
