Browns Select DE Isaiah McGuire at No. 126 in the 2023 NFL Draft
Cleveland Browns started day three by taking Ohio State OT Dawand Jones, now at pick No. 126 in the fourth round, Cleveland has selected Missouri DE Isaiah McGuire.
McGuire has been extremely productive in the SEC over the course of his career. He essentially totaled 32 tackles for a loss and 17.5 sacks in a little over two and a half seasons played. As a senior, McGuire had a career-high 8.5 sacks and 14 tackles for a loss.
Coming in at 6-foot-4 and 266 pounds, McGuire has fine size for the edge position. McGuire’s calling card is in the run game where he’s a sound tackler and gets to the football and sheds the tackle in the process. McGuire plays with a high motor, something that coaches happen to love.
Coming to Cleveland, McGuire joins the defensive end room that includes Myles Garrett, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Isaiah Thomas, and Alex Wright.
The Browns have now made four picks with WR Cedrick Tillman and DT Siaka Ika joining Jones and McGuire from the fourth round.
