Former Browns LB Visiting Giants, Could Find new Home
Free agent linebacker Deion Jones is visiting the New York Giants where he could potentially land. Jones spent last year with the Cleveland Browns after they traded a late-round pick for him. The visit was first reported by NFL Network.
Jones played in five games for the Browns making one start in 2022. During that time, Jones had 44 tackles and 2.5 sacks. After a slow acclimation, Jones turned into a decent linebacker for the Browns, especially when they needed it due to injuries.
The first six years of his career, Jones spent with the Atlanta Falcons. He was very productive with 652 tackles, 11 interceptions, and 8.5 sacks in 83 starts.
The Giants are looking for more linebacker depth and it may fall within grabbing a former Browns player.
