PITTSBURGH — There was one huge question on everyone’s mind as the Pittsburgh Steelers departed minicamp for more than a month-long break until training camp. Will the Steelers' new starting quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, host some of his new weapons out at his house in Malibu?

Rest easy, Steelers fans, as Rodgers made his plans for the break known on a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. Speaking to the television host, Rodgers shared his desire to have some of his fellow offensive players out at his multi-million dollar mansion.

”I know coming out to Malibu isn’t high on everybody’s list,” he said.

Still, Rodgers would love to keep building chemistry with his teammates. Players like DK Metcalf top the list. In the same appearance, Rodgers discussed how impressed he is with Metcalf and his presence played a part in him signing with the Steelers.

The good news is that Rodgers disclosed some of his teammates, without naming specific ones, will be journeying out to California. Rodgers has maintained the same outlook on getting his teammates to Malibu, stating during his initial press conference that it would be a challenge to convince anyone to come out there. It's most likely said in jest, but it's possible that he is referencing the wildfires that struck the area earlier in 2025.

The hope is that any time spent together will help improve the 2025 Steelers’ offense. Rodgers is coming off a season where he threw for 28 touchdowns, but also surrendered 11 interceptions. That was an uncharacteristically high amount of turnovers for Rodgers, and that could be alleviated by building that chemistry and rapport with his new receiving corps before the 2025 season begins. And heading to Malibu to work on that isn't too bad either.
