Boston College Flips 2026 LB from Southeast Missouri State

Demeterius Thompson is the latest member of the Eagles' 2026 recruiting class which now sits 27 members strong.

Although this season has been full of disappointing on field results for Boston College, the future continues to look bright for the Eagles football team as the 2026 recruiting class is shaping up to be as strong as any group in recent program history.

This week, Boston College added yet another talented prospect to its 2026 class, flipping linebacker Demeterius Thompson from Southeast Missouri State where he'd been committed since July of this year.

He took to social media to share the news, saying in his post, "From a Brentwood-Clayton Eagle to a Boston College Eagle, I’m 100% committed. Thank you to my family, coaches, and teammates and to every school that believed in me along the way: SIU, ISF, Lindenwood, SEMO, Ohio, Buffalo, and Miami of Ohio. Time to get to work."

Standing at 6-foot-3, 230 lbs., Thompson is currently unranked as a prospect by major recruiting outlets, but is an incredibly high ceiling player.

He recently revealed some of his impressive measurables to Boston College on SI, saying, "I don't believe there are a lot of recruits who can run a 4.7 second 40-yard dash at 230 lbs., dunk a basketball and win state in the triple jump. This offseason I will be working to add even more size and strength to my game. I plan to be 245 lbs. by August of 2026."

With the addition of Thompson, Boston College now sits at 27 commits in the 2026 class, and is ranked as the No. 36 team in the nation, according to 247Sports' composite ranking.
