Cincinnati Reds Place TJ Friedl on Injured List, Promote Jacob Hurtubise From Triple-A

CINCINNATI — The Reds placed outfielder TJ Friedl on the 10-day injured list with a left thumb fracture. Friedl was hit by the first pitch in Sunday's loss to the Giants.
The Reds promoted outfielder Jacob Hurtubise from Triple-A Louisville to take Friedl's spot on the roster. He hasn't played in a major league game.

He was a 39th round pick by the #Mariners in 2019 out of the United States Military Academy, but he decided to come back for his senior year. His senior season was wiped out by COVID after only 5 games.
