Browns Wide Receiver Amari Cooper Suffers Late-Week Injury

The Bengals have lost eight of their past nine games to Cleveland.

CINCINNATI — The Cleveland Browns top wide receiver popped up with a late-week injury on Friday. Amari Cooper hurt his hip in practice on Thursday and did not practice on Friday.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters the team would monitor the injury over the next two days before making a decision on Cooper playing in the early window on Sunday. He enters the weekend questionable to play.

Cooper leads the 5-7 Browns in catches (61), receiving yards (832), and touchdowns (7) this season. He would be a massive loss for a Browns offense that did not score a touchdown last week against the Texans.

The former Cowboy had arguably his best game of the season against Cincinnati (5 catches, season-high 131 yards, 1 TD). His Halloween outing marked the 13th-most single-game yards Cooper's produced since entering the league in 2015.

Cincinnati had a scare with Sam Hubbard and Tee Higgins on Thursday, but Zac Taylor gave a positive update on Friday.

Cincinnati's clash against Cleveland kicks off at 1 p.m ET this Sunday on CBS. Fans can watch on fuboTV—start your free trial here.
