A top Free Agent Defensive Tackle to Visit Browns This Week

Cleveland Browns will be getting a visit from defensive tackle Al Woods this week, which would be a nice addition for them.

One of the top remaining defensive tackles on the free agent is going to visit the Cleveland Browns this week. According to a report, Al Woods is expected to visit the Browns and New York Jets this week.

Woods is a veteran with 12 years in the NFL, the last three being with the Seattle Seahawks. Last season, Woods started 14 games and made 39 tackles, and two sacks during that time.

At 6-foot-4 and 330 pounds, Woods would be a boost to the Browns as a run-stopper. Averaging a run grade of 79 over the past five seasons according to Pro Football Focus, Woods was one of the game’s top 25 run-stoppers.

Having already signed Dalvin Tomlinson, Maurice Hurst, and Trysten Hill, there is an emphasis on improving the defensive tackle room. Woods just turned 36 years old, he’s a one-year deal for the Browns if it happens, who could continue to develop their own tackle room.

Browns Digest will have any updates on a potential signing of Woods if it comes to reality.
