FINAL: Colts 41, Bengals 14


Fourth Quarter

  • SCORE UPDATE, 6:01 remaining: Shrader hit a 44-yard field goal to extend the Colts' lead to 41-7.
  • INJURY UPDATE, 6:52 remaining: Bean was sacked by Bengals defensive lineman Isaiah Thomas and left the field with an injury. Leonard took over at quarterback.
  • TURNOVER, 10:26 remaining: Bean was intercepted by Bengals defensive lineman Howard Cross III, but Cross fumbled (forced by Bean), and the ball was recovered by Colts running back Nate Noel. The Colts relinquish and retake control of the drive at their own 25-yard line.

Third Quarter

  • SCORE UPDATE, 2:09 remaining: Colts quarterback Jason Bean found wide receiver Coleman Owen from seven yards out for a touchdown. Shrader's extra point made it 38-7. It capped a drive of 14 plays, 93 yards, and 7:27.
  • SCORE UPDATE, 10:43 remaining: Bentley ran the ball in from 12 yards out. Shrader's extra point made it 31-7. It completed a drive of six plays, 58 yards, and 2:54.

Second Quarter

  • SCORE UPDATE, 0:29 remaining: Colts quarterback Riley Leonard found wide receiver Laquon Treadwell open down the left side for a 59-yard touchdown. Trujillo's extra point extended the Colts' lead to 24-7. It capped a drive of four plays, 77 yards, and 0:51.
  • SCORE UPDATE, 1:53 remaining: Colts running back Ulysses Bentley IV got into the end zone from two yards out. Trujillo's extra point was good, to put the Colts up, 17-7. It capped a drive of 12 plays, 83 yards, and 5:11.
  • SCORE UPDATE, 12:47 remaining: Ridder ran a quarterback sneak for a one-yard touchdown. Evan McPherson's extra point cuts the Colts' lead to 10-7. It capped a drive of nine plays, 70 yards, and 4:05.

First Quarter

  • SCORE UPDATE, 1:52 remaining: Colts safety Daniel Scott intercepted Bengals quarterback Desmond Ridder and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown. Maddux Trujillo's extra point was good. The Colts are now up, 10-0.
  • SCORE UPDATE, 9:47 remaining: Colts kicker Spencer Shrader converted a 40-yard field goal attempt to put the Colts up, 3-0. It capped a drive of 11 plays, 56 yards, and 5:13.

Pre-Game

  • This week, Colts head coach Shane Steichen stated that the Colts' starters will not play on Saturday. "Well, coming up obviously with the preseason game, the starters aren't going to play in this game," Steichen said. "Daniel (Jones) nor AR (Anthony Richardson Sr.) will play. It'll be Riley (Leonard) and (Jason) Bean. I want to get these threes going. It's their last opportunity. We're pretty banged up right now, so I want to get these guys healthy for Week 1 and get these guys going."
