Jerry Jones shades Micah Parsons in first comments after Dallas Cowboys-Packers trade

In this story:
Jerry Jones was never going to back down in his contract war with superstar Micah Parsons, and ultimately, the Dallas Cowboys shipped him up north to the Green Bay Packers, where he will join a team that has been a thorn in Dallas' side for the past decade.
Following the trade, Jerry Jones met with the media to address the twisted thought process that led to the team trading away a generational talent.
During the presser, Jones was asked about primetime game on September 28 that will see Parsons return to AT&T Stadium with the Packers for the ultimate revenge game.

When delivering his answer, Jones decided to throw shade in Parsons' direction by indirectly calling him a liability against the run.

"I'd suggest that we get ahead and run the ball."
Earlier in the press conference, Jones again expressed a need to stop the run, making it a running theme of his remarks.

“The other thing that came into play big between coach Schottenheimer and coach Eberflus and talking about the defense and obviously getting a player like Kenny Clark; is we also feel in addition to the depth, is you can scheme pressure as well," Jones said.
"I think coach Eberflus has been really good at that in terms of using scheme to get pressure on the quarterback. But what’s tough to scheme is to stop the run.”

That snide remark is a clear indication that the relationship between Jones and Parsons was damaged beyond repair.
While it wasn;t the result that Cowboys Nation was hoping for, at least it is now in the past and the team can move forward with its full focus on the Philadelphia Eagles and Week One.
