Insider Reveals Titans' Potential QB Preference With First Pick

In this story:
The Tennessee Titans have had no shortage of discussion when it comes to their first-overall pick in April's draft.
A bevy of options remain on the board for the Titans just under two months out from the draft, but an option that's remained widely in the conversation is the route of selecting a quarterback as their hopeful face of the franchise –– whether that focus potentially leans on Colorado's Shedeur Sanders or Miami's Cam Ward as their top guy has been a bit cloudy up to this point.
However, ESPN insider Turron Davenport provided some interesting intel on Tennessee's scouting process ahead of the NFL Combine, noting that while the team has yet to finalize their decision-making, the Titans brass does seem to be a fan of Shedeur Sanders.
"Right now they don't know," Davenport said during an appearance on ESPN Cleveland. "They really like Shedeur Sanders,"
Sanders has had a few questions on his abilities of being a true franchise guy spanning throughout his pre-draft evaluation, but the Titans are seemingly a fan of what he has to offer.
Sanders finished his campaign with the Buffaloes posting 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions on a nation-leading 74.0% completion rate.
While he hasn't been touted as a generational prospect at the position like others before him, Sanders' accuracy and mental processing may be the best in the class. For a team searching for stability under center, the Colorado quarterback may be the best to provide that, but only time will tell which direction Tennessee opts to turn.
The Titans will finalize their critical choice atop the board once the NFL Draft arrives on Thursday, April 24th at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
