The Tennessee Titans are expected to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first pick of the 2025 NFL Draft but will need to surround him with weapons at wide receiver for the future.

On a recent conference call with reporters, NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah listed Iowa State's Jayden Higgins and Missouri's Luther Burden III as two receivers the Titans should keeps tabs on once they get to their first pick of the second round at number 35 overall.

"Luther Burden, I think there's a chance he could be there at that point and time," Jeremiah said, per Titans reporter Jim Wyatt. "As a player, he reminded me a lot of Stefon Diggs coming out of Maryland. … He's outstanding, one of the best run after catch receivers in this draft, if not the best run after catch receivers in this draft."

Burden III is one of the most exciting receivers in this year's draft. In three seasons at Mizzou, he tallied 192 catches for 2,263 yards and 21 touchdowns while adding 34 carries for 234 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. He also returned 24 punts for 252 yards and one score.

As for Higgins, he had an impressive two years with the Cyclones. He ends his collegiate career with 140 catches for 2,166 yards and 15 touchdowns in 26 games.

"I look at a guy like Higgins from Iowa State," Jeremiah said. "He would be a fun player to drop into that mix, to give (Ward) a nice weapon to play with. I know they have other areas they could go, especially on the defensive side of the ball. But when you invest in that first overall pick you want that pick to make you look smart, and it tends to lead you to stay on that side of the ball once you get to the next round."

Time will tell how things play out for the Titans with the draft right around the corner on Thursday in Green Bay.
