MotoGP rider Alex Marquez has officially sealed his future with Gresini Racing, signing on for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. This continuation with Gresini marks a pivotal chapter in Marquez's career, which has notably flourished since he joined the Ducati satellite team.

"Staying with Gresini was my main goal," Marquez affirmed, highlighting his commitment to the team that has been instrumental in his recent career revival.

Since transitioning from Honda to Gresini at the start of the previous season, Marquez has demonstrated a significant upturn in performance. Highlights of his time at the team have been two podium finishes and a Sprint victory aboard the potent Desmosedici GP23. Currently ranked ninth in the world championship standings, Marquez's trajectory this season includes a commendable fourth-place finish, proving not only a good deal of talent, but trust in his Ducati machinery.

Despite these successes, Marquez remains focused on bridging the gap to the top racers—a goal he feels is within reach.

"Since I joined this team, my target has been to consistently get close to the best, and it's something I haven't achieved yet," he explained. His early-season struggles haven't dampened his aspirations. "The start of the season wasn't what we hoped for, but the team is strong and I know where we can go," Marquez added. "So, I just want to thank Nadia for the trust, and I'm sure we'll soon repay her with some celebratory pineapple pizza!"

Nadia Padovani, owner of Gresini Racing, lauded Marquez as a "pupil" whose integration into the team has only deepened over time.

"Alex is our pupil. Since he joined two years ago, the synergy between him and the team has been incredible and has strengthened with each race," Padovani shared. "We know his potential; he has already shown it and just needs consistency. Renewing with him was an obvious move for us because we are aware of his value both on and off the track."

As the team looks towards the future, changes loom with the career of Alex Marquez's brother, Marc Marquez, as he advances to the official Ducati team next year and a new teammate slated to join Alex in 2025.

With a solidified place in Gresini and a clear set of goals, Alex Marquez is poised for potentially his most rewarding seasons yet.
