On Thursday, Sept. 10, the Cleveland Guardians announced that Walters was set to miss a good bit of the 2027 campaign after undergoing right UCL repair surgery with an internal brace. The surgery was completed earlier in the week in Arlington, Texas.

On Thursday, August 21, the Guardians' No. 21-ranked prospect within the system, Welbyn Francisca, put his name right back in the headlines. He did do something only some players can dream of: posting an inside-the-park home run.

On Tuesday, August 18, the Guardians' No. 2-ranked prospect, Ralphy Velazquez, dominated as he put together a great showing at the plate. In an outing against the St. Paul Saints, the 21-year-old posted a 2-for-4 line from the plate with a home run.
