Chiefs Deliver Major Blow to Bengals' Chances of Earning AFC's No. 1 Seed

Cincinnati's chances took a hit on Sunday.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals' chances of being the AFC's No. 1 seed took a major hit on Sunday when the Chiefs held on to beat the Broncos 27-24.

Kansas City (13-3) is currently the second seed in the conference. They need the Bengals to beat the Bills on Monday Night Football to control their own destiny.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati's path to the top seed is simple: they need to beat Buffalo and Baltimore to close out the season. They also need the Raiders to beat the Chiefs in Week 18.

If the Bills win out, they'll be the AFC's top seed.

It's a 3-team race that would've been blown wide open if Denver found a way to upset Kansas City on Sunday.

Cincinnati and Buffalo meet on Monday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. ET. The game airs on ESPN/ABC and is available on fuboTV—start your free trial here.
