Stop us if you've heard this one before: the Los Angeles Chargers are in the market to add a wide receiver before next season.
The franchise struck gold with their 2024 NFL Draft pick, Ladd McConkey. However, now the team needs to get McConkey and quarterback Justin Herbert a little more help.

NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the New York Jets are giving permission to Allen Lazard to seek a trade. However, the report does say that Lazard could still return to the Jets.
Last season, Lazard appeared in 12 games for the Jets, grabbing 37 receptions for 530 yards and six touchdowns.
While he might not be Davante Adams, Lazard could be a potential appealing depth piece to add to the wide receiver room.
However, just like Adams, Lazard could find himself waiting to see where Aaron Rodgers lands this offseason. Lazard has spent every season of his playing career with Rodgers and could be looking to go to a destination where he feels more comfortable.
