Seahawks named potential fit for Browns Pro Bowl offensive lineman

The Seattle Seahawks must find a way to upgrade their offensive line and there's only so much they can do in the 2025 NFL draft. Even with five picks in the first three rounds, it may be tough to find an instant-impact starter up front.

The team needs to protect quarterback Sam Darnold at all costs in order to avoid regressing next season. If the Seahawks fail to adequately address their offensive line in the draft, they could attempt to trade for one.

General manager John Schneider clearly isn't scared to shake things up, which he proved by trading away quarterback Geno Smith and wide receiver DK Metcalf. Would Schneider make another deal to get Darnold some help up front?

A new feature from Pro Football Network highlighted one trade candidate for each team with three potential landing spots. PFN listed Seattle as a possible landing spot for Browns Pro Bowl guard Wyatt Teller.

"The Seahawks and Vikings both ranked in the bottom five in pressures allowed from guards last year, and could immediately plug Teller in as a starter," wrote PFN's Sterling Xie. "Any move wouldn’t come until after the draft and teams see how their starting offensive line shakes out."

Adding a proven veteran like Teller would be a huge upgrade for a Seattle team that needs help in pass protection and run blocking. The former fifth-round pick was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL draft out of Virginia Tech.

After failing to catch on in Buffalo, Teller landed with Cleveland in 2019 and has stabilized the right guard spot over the past six seasons. A model of consistency, Teller has made three Pro Bowls and was twice voted second-team All-Pro.

The Seahawks could still look to upgrade their offensive line in the draft, but in this scenario, they wouldn't be forced to start a rookie next season. The 2025 NFL draft is just two days away and at this point, anything seems possible.
