Week Six provided us with what might have been the most entertaining week of G5 football action yet. We had upsets, we had beatdowns, and we had divisional races tighten up.

It makes you force that realization that the regular season is basically half over deep, deep down inside, along with the guilt from ignoring your Saturday chores for the last month and a half.

Before I get off track even more, let's look at the best plays from the weekend in the Group of Five.

Buffalo's Big Pick Six

Buffalo's season did not get off to a good start. However, they've now managed to star MAC play 2-0 to bring their overall record to 2-4. The Bulls dominated Central Michigan on Saturday to the tune of 37-13.

Sophomore defensive back Devin Grant was, to put it lightly, phenomenal. The native of Elmont, New York, intercepted three passes and returned two for touchdowns. His 58-yard pick six was arguably the more impressive of the two.

A highlight play from probably the best individual defensive performance in the program's FBS history.

Ta'Quan Roberson's 41-Yard Bomb

The UConn Huskies picked up their first victory of the year with a road win at Rice on Saturday. While the Husky defense forcing four turnovers was the biggest factor in the win, it was also a career day for sophomore quarterback Ta'Quan Roberson.

Roberson threw for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns to go along with a 78.9 completion percentage on the day. Roberson beat double coverage finding Ross Cameron for the go-ahead score late in the second quarter.

On his third attempt, new Navy head coach Brian Newberry earned his first AAC win when his Midshipmen outlasted North Texas in a 27-24 battle on Saturday.

Quarterback Tai Lavatai didn't start the game, but he made important plays in critical moments. Filling in for an injured Blake Horvath, Lavatai completed four of eight passes for 75 yards in this contest, including a 26-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Kent just before halftime. It was Lavatai's third touchdown pass of the season.

It was great ball placement, great hands by Kent, and great concentration to get his feet down in the end zone despite excellent coverage from UNT's John Davis.

"I am really proud of Lavatai," Newberry said postgame. "I had a conversation with him earlier in the week saying that we were going to go with the other two guys. He owned his role this week. He was awesome, coaching those guys at practice, encouraging them last night. His number got called today and he went in and did some really good things, leading us to victory. A lot of good things. There are a lot of things that we need to clean up moving forward, and we will. We needed a win like this. Hopefully, it will be some good momentum for us and catapult us moving forward."
