College Football Playoff Rankings: Tulane Fall To #24 After Close Wins

The third set of College Football Playoff rankings of the 2023 season were revealed on ESPN on Tuesday night.

The Tulane Green Wave find themselves at #24 after reaching #23 in last week's second CFP rankings of the season. Tulane have now been included in nine consecutive sets of College Football Playoff rankings. 

The Green Wave narrowly escaped Tulsa 24-22 this past week. In the week prior, Tulane beat East Carolina 13-10. Both AAC foes have a losing record.

Last week's win was enough to move Tulane up three sports in both the AP Poll and the AFCA Coaches Poll. Tulane went from #20 to #17 in those polls after the Tulsa victory.

The Green Wave have two games remaining before the AAC title game: at Florida Atlantic this week, then at home against UTSA next week.
