Per NFL Network's Ian Rappaport, Al-Shaair will sign a three-year, $34,000,000 contract with the Houston Texans.

Al-Shaair spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers. He went undrafted in 2019, but grew into an impact player with the 49ers, totaling 102 tackles in the 2021 season. He signed a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans prior to the 2023 season.

At FAU, Al-Shaair was a four-year starter. He was named a freshman All-American by USA Today in 2015 and was a CUSA First-Team All-Conference selection in 2017. The Hillsborough, FL native totaled 395 tackles and 7.5 sacks in Boca Raton. 

Al-Shaair was a member of FAU's most recent conference championship team, when the Owls won the CUSA title under then head coach Lane Kiffin.
