The NFL Playoffs rage on this weekend, with two games left to decide which teams will compete in Super Bowl LVIII.

In the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers host the Detroit Lions in a battle of teams that are defying expectations set by injuries and, in Detroit's case, a long and unfortunate postseason history. Both teams will have former G5 players in key positions fighting for a berth in the big game.

Keep an eye out for these familiar G5 names to make an impact in Sunday's game on FOX.

Detroit Lions

Kayode Awosika - OL - Buffalo

Brodric Martin - DT - Western Kentucky

Steven Gilmore - DB - Marshall

Kindle Vildor - DB - Georgia Southern

Tracy Walker - DB - Louisiana

Jack Fox - P - Rice

Reserve offensive lineman Kayode Awosika could see a few snaps at tackle, if called upon.

Along the defensive line, WKU's Brodric Martin has been used sparingly in his rookie season, but has a high ceiling. In the secondary, former Georgia Southern Eagle Kindle Vildor has two pass deflections and ten tackles after being acquired from Tennessee after the start of the season. Walker also has a pair of pass deflections with a sack and 59 tackles this season.

On special teams, Rice's Jack Fox has continued to be one of the game's best punters with six out of his eight punts this postseason landing inside the opponents' 20-yard line.

San Francisco 49ers

Elijah Mitchell - RB - Louisiana

Willie Snead IV - WR - Ball State

Jaylon Moore - OL - Western Michigan

Spencer Burford - OL - UTSA

Darrell Luter Jr - DB - South Alabama

Charvarius Ward - DB - Middle Tennessee

Samuel Womack III - DB - Toledo

Tashaun Gipson Sr. - DB - Wyoming

On the offensive side of the ball, the one most involved in the 49ers' attack will be right guard Spencer Burford. Burford has had an up-and-down year, but the second-year UTSA standout is one of the better young lineman in the league when he's on. Western Michigan's Jaylon Moore, listed on the two-deep, could also see snaps at one of the tackle spots.

Mitchell has yet to get involved in the postseason, but did have a pair of touchdowns to close out the regular season. Snead is also used sparingly, with just two catches to his name this season.

Defensively, the 49ers have a handful of former G5 standouts working in the secondary. Luter had a pair of tackles against the Packers last week, while Ward posted five and a pass deflection from a starting corner spot. Free saftey Tashaun Gipson has 63 tackles with 24 pass deflections.
